About
I’m Matthew Simpson, a digital marketer with a passion for supporting creatives and helping communities grow and thrive. My journey began with a degree in Popular Music Studies from Western University, where I developed a deep appreciation for the stories music tells and the communities it builds. That passion led me to George Brown College, where I specialized in Digital Marketing Management and learned how to amplify those stories through strategic, digital-first campaigns.
What drives me is simple: the belief that creativity builds community. Whether it's through a collaborative album release, a well-executed digital rollout, or connecting artists with the tools they need to succeed, I’ve seen firsthand how marketing can fuel connection, growth, and impact.
I’ve had the privilege of working with independent record labels like AM Spritzer (Ohio) and AWA Port (Japan), contributing to artist development, coordinating releases, and managing creative projects that span borders and genres. My work lives at the intersection of culture, collaboration, and communication. I’m always seeking new ways to bring people together through meaningful digital experiences.
In addition to my work in the independent music space, I’ve also contributed to community-driven marketing campaigns with Rock 95 and Kool FM in Barrie, Ontario. I’ve seen how radio can bring people together and how hyperlocal marketing can deepen those relationships.
